ISRAMERICA invites you to join us at an incredible LIVE concert performed by two of Israel's most mesmerizing, cutting edge artists. Presented by A Wider Bridge and the JCC Manhattan. Co-sponsored by ISRAMERICA. Tamar Eisenman and Rona Kenan, two of their generation's freshest and most intriguing voices take the stage with materials spanning from their respective solo careers and from special projects they took part in throughout the years. This show is a musical journey spanning from Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, San Francisco and Odessa. Laced with virtuosic guitar playing, original poetry and ample groove, it charts an up-to-date map of the Israeli music scene and its global cross-pollination effects. Rona Kenan: “It's impossible to imagine something better going on in Israeli music nowadays”, reads a recent review on Rona Kenan's 4th album: Takeoffs and Landings (2011). Indeed, Kenan's name had become synonymous in recent years with the musical revolution of her generation. These days Rona is touring the country with her band, writing for and performing with renowned Israeli musicians such as Yehudit Ravitz and Gidi Gov, and occasionally performing in Europe and the United States. Tamar Eisenman: Israeli singer-songwriter and guitarist, Tamar Eisenman has established herself in her short career as one of Israel's most unique voices. Tamar is an enormous mass of energy tightly packed in a compact physique. Her modest stature stands in great contrast to her overwhelming charisma and musical force. With her unique style and groove, her breathtaking guitar playing and outstanding performance, she leaves the crowd spellbound by the end of the show. Tickets are $15 online and $25 at the door.
