Cititour Review: La Grenouille is French dining at its finest. Dressed in my classiest black dress, I met my date there and was beyond impressed. The décor is fabulous, rich reds, glittering chandeliers, a crowd of very wealthy and meticulously dressed patrons.
Review By: Rachel Sult It is a must to hand select a bottle of wine or champagne, ranging in price from $95 to $600, all from a French selection. Our table enjoyed the Laurent Perrier Rose for $165. The dinner is played out with perfection, each course arriving in gorgeous presentation and with phenomenal taste. To start, after some of the best soup I have tasted and French bread, there are some nice options such as wild mushroom risotto, foie gras and brioche, and fluke tartare with American caviar. The fabulousness continues with quintessential French plates of frog legs sautéed provencale, bass with bouillabaisse, lamb chops with thyme, and braised duck breast with cherries. Prices are not listed on the menu. But if you find yourself enjoying a meal here, price is probably not an issue. The dessert menu is wonderful, containing souffle, an assortment of cheeses, sorbets and ice cream. All sound delicious and I myself fully appreciated the souffle. Neighborhood: East 50s
