Super Linda, a new Latin spot in Tribeca, is already drawing in the crowds with its funky globe shaped lanterns, candlelit tables and a very sexy crowd. The hostesses are also super beautiful and super friendly as well.

A quick look at the menu finds spiced up starters like scallops with Serrano chile, lime and avocado ($14) and crab and uni tostadas with habanero, crema and lime ($16).

There are plates for sharing like shrimp balls with chile de arbol, a potent Mexican chile, that is served with grilled toast. You will also find croquetas with smoked chicken and truffle, and charred beets with candied pecans and bacon mayo. Entrees run the gamut from prawns with smoked tomato ($24) to pork ribs with pickled chilis ($28). The kitchen is also cooking up a Flat Iron steak with roasted pumpkin and grilled scallions ($26), or break the bank with a rib eye served with braised kale and crispy fingerling potatoes.

If you are planning a visit, I would strongly suggest booking a table in advance. We passed the restaurant late on a Tuesday night and every table was occupied because, at the moment, Super Linda is super caliente.-Thomas Rafael
