K-Town has a new temple dedicated to Korean barbecue. Samwon Garden is a sprawling three-story restaurant serving authentic tabletop barbecue. It’s also the first U.S. location for this restaurant chain based in Seoul. Executive chef Kwak Young Ho is turning out dishes like Stir-Fry Squid and Pork Belly, Kimchi Pancakes with bacon, Marinated Fried Chicken Wings with soy and garlic sauce, and Octopus Carpaccio with a yuzu soy sauce. Barbecue choices range from marinated Korean-style short ribs and prime ribeye to marinated sliced beef, called bulgogi, and thinly sliced brisket. Sides include fried corn fritters and egg soufflé. Some rice and noodle dishes are also available. >> Neighborhood: West 30s Entree Price: $10-15 Payment: Accepts Credit Cards |
