The husband and wife team behind Uncle Boons, Matt Danzer and Ann Redding, now have Thai Diner on Mott Street. Diners will find tons of Thai flair with bamboo and rattan elements, a lengthy counter and wooden booths. The menu includes "breakfast all day" with Thai Tea Babka French Toast and Steak & Eggs with sticky rice. There are snacks like Kanom Krok, coconut custard cups with spring onion, taro and herbs, and Steamed Oysters with choice of two Thai sauces. Diner fare includes a classic hamburger and fried chicken sandwich as well as wok offering. Specialties range from crab cakes in yellow curry sauce to chicken & water chestnut stuffed cabbage, and duck braised noodle soup in a soy anise broth.
