When August Wilson died in 2005 America lost one of its greatest playwrights. His effort to chronicle the African-American experience via a ten play cycle (including "The Piano Lesson" and "Fences") led him not only to the Pulitzer Prize (and other accolades) but commercial success as well. His final installment, "Radio Golf," retains the power of his lyricism, deftly drawn characters, and the thematic balance of historical perspective. more
