It was a dreadfully rainy day that I found myself at the doorstep of Pies 'n' Thighs in the shadow of the Williamsburg Bridge. We shuffled into the restaurant (think small kitchen and cut it in half) where we placed our orders and moved into an adjacent bar. The bar itself was dark and hanging above the bar were two naked mannekins made to look like mermaids. This would have been fine if not for the fact that I had my six year old in tow. We wound up settling in on this old black vinyl couch, although "sinking in" was more like it. By this time my son was having a blast playing a nearby video game and ignoring the naked ladies. Whew. more
