There is no better place to spend the Christmas holiday than at Rockefeller Center. Each year a gigantic spruce is set above the ice skating rink drawing tens of thousands of people for the annual lighting ceremony. Millions more watch the lighting ceremony on television, complete with the world famous Radio City Rockettes. Saks Fifth Avenue also puts on an annual light show at its flagship store nearby.
This year's tree lighting will take place on December 4th in the courtyard at West 48th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenue. Visiting hours at from 5:30am to 11:30pm. The tree will remain lit for 24 hours on Christmas Day. Stay tuned for more exciting details.
The Rink at Rockefeller Center re-opens Oct 12 and will remain open through early April For the 2019 schedule click here
