The Fleet is in! The annual Fleet Week at the Intrepid Air and Space Museum begins with the parade of ships.
Held nearly every year since 1984, Fleet Week New York is the city's celebration of the sea services. It provides an opportunity for regular folks to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as see first-hand, the latest capabilities of today's maritime services. More than 4,500 service men and women from the U.S. and foreign nations are arriving aboard the ships.
Participating Fleet Week ships can be viewed at Pier 90, Pier 88, Pier 86, Intrepid Air and Space Museum, and Homeport Pier on Staten Island. For the complete list of ships and locations click here
