IN GOOD TASTE

What better way to spend an evening than sampling fine food and drink? Join the Washington Square Park Conservancy on Tuesday, September 19 for the 15th annual Taste of the Village, which will feature more than 30 local purveyors, restaurants and musicians gathered under the historic Arch in Washington Square Park. DON’T SAY NEIGH

Have you ever seen an Arabian horse? Watched a hunter jump? Well, if not (or even if you have), here’s your chance as the ever-exciting Rolex Central Park Horse Shows returns to Central Park’s Wollman Rink. This five-day event concludes on Sunday, which a special family day that includes appearances by the Dog Agility Club of Long Island and The Pompeyo Family (who were recently on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent”) and host of kid-friendly equestrian activities. FAIR GAME

The 35th Queens County Fair, held at the Queens County Farm Museum, is a true down-home affair with blue ribbon competitions in livestock,live music, pie-eating and corn-husking contests, pig races, hayrides, carnival rides, midway games, and top-notch children's entertainment. Check out the Con Edison Ecology booth where you can adopt a worm for your home compost bin, get gardening and recycling tips, and create free crafts for kids. FLEE TO THE FLEA

The biggest day on any true theater lover’s calendar for 2017 is Sunday, September 24, when the 31st Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction, produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, takes place in and around Shubert Alley. The free outdoor event includes the chance to buy memorabilia and collectibles from more than 50 tables, silent and live auctions with unique experiences on sale, and the famed Autograph Table and Photo Booth, where you can meet more than 70 celebrities, including Tony Award winners Michael Cerveris, Bernadette Peters, Billy Porter, Julie White, Reed Birney and Rachel Bay Jones. FRANTIC FOR THE ANTIC

The 43rd Atlantic Antic, Brooklyn’s most beloved street fair, offers borough residents and visitors alike a chance to sample amazing food, listen to wonderful music – we’re particularly intrigued by the New York Fowl Harmonic -- and buy fabulous merchandises from the street’s many shops and other vendors. You can also watch the 14th annual Dumpling Eating contest, which will be held on the Festival’s main stage at 2:15pm. There is truly something for everyone. (Sunday, September 24. 12pm-6pm.
