Holiday Skating Rink Comes to the New York Hall of Science

Dec 10, 2022 to Mar 05, 2023 Official Site Buy! The New York Hall of Science (NYSCI) will officially open a new holiday skating rink SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10. The rink, which will be built out of a non-ice, eco-friendly polymer-based material, will allow children and families to skate in a warm, indoor climate-controlled environment. Entry to the rink costs $10 and comes in addition to the cost of museum entry (entry into the museum costs $16 for adults and $13 for children). Museum members will receive a 20 percent discount. The rink will be open from 10AM to 5PM Wednesday through Sunday, through March 5. It will also be during schools-out holidays, Monday through Friday, December 26-31, January 16 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day), and February 20-24. The new rink is another family-friendly offering by NYSCI - from new exhibits like Powering the City and Small Discoveries to inspiring art by sculptural painter Kyung Youl Yoon. The museum reopened in October after nearly a year after Hurricane Ida significantly damaged portions of the museum.
