The 48th Annual Village Halloween Parade is on this year after receiving the necessary permits. Randy Rainbow is this year’s Grand Marshall. Parade organizers are still hoping to raise more money for the parade after getting a late start. Kicks off October 31 at 7pm. halloween-nyc.com

The Amazing Maize Maze at Queens County Farm is perfect to keep the kids entertained. But tackling this corn maze at night with a flashlight can be a bit scary. The maze is open Saturdays and Sundays through Oct 30. Nighttime walks are available Saturday Oct 2 and 23 until 9:30pm. Scoop up the perfect pumpkin at the Pumpkin Patch at Queens County Farm which dates back to 1697. Pumpkins are priced by the size. The patch is open daily from Oct 1 to 30. The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze is being held at Van Cortlandt Manor at Croton-on-Hudson, NY. 7,000 jack o’lanterns are on display all hand-carved on site by a team of artisans. BAMboo! Is back after a virtual celebration a year ago. BAM’s Halloween block Party will be held Oct 31st at 30 Lafayette Street between Ashland Place and St. Felix Street. The Great PUPkin Dog Costume Show will be held on Saturday October 30th at Fort Greene Park (rain date is Oct 31). The event kicks off at noon. People looking to enter their pooch must pre-register. There is a $12 fee. fortgreenepups.org
The New York Botanical Garden is hosting Scarecrows & Pumpkins from September 18-31. 100 silly scarecrows will be on display along twisting trails in the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden.
