2023 Festive Holiday Pop-Ups and Fun Events in NYC

The Dead Rabbit
Jingle Jangle at The Dead Rabbit in the Financial District is an over-the-top holiday celebration. This year is bigger than ever with all three floors partaking in the festivities with holiday-themed cocktails, a magical Christmas soundtrack, and a dazzling display of lights and holiday spirit. Central to The Dead Rabbit’s commitment to supporting hospitality and Irish-focused non-profits one dollar from each holiday cocktail purchased throughout Jingle Jangle will be donated to Goliath Trust, a charity that addresses educational gaps in disadvantaged areas in and around Belfast, Ireland.
Sleyenda is on at Leyenda in Brooklyn's Boerum Hill. Each year during the festive season, award-winning bartender Ivy Mix’s Leyenda becomes Sleyenda with winter wonderland decor and festive cocktails including the Coquito Ho Ho Ho, Candy Striper, and Mexican Hot Chocolate. Launching on November 24th, Sleyenda runs through the end of December with its holiday vibes.

Camp Porchlight is rolling out at Porchlight in Hudson Yards. Union Square Hospitality Group’s Camp Porchlight brings apres-ski vibes to the city without the rentals, road trips, and risk. The space will transform into a cozy winter lodge with seasonal cocktails. Beverage Director Ben Brown dresses up festive classics such as Egg Nog and the Frozen Grasshopper and puts a wintery spin on classics (think: Frozen Candy Cane Negroni and Hot Buttered Rum). Camp Porchlight rolls out on Monday, November 27 and will run through New Year’s.
Sunday in Brooklyn is hosting Snowday in Brooklyn, a seasonal holiday pop-up takeover with over-the-top decorations, cozy blankets, holiday cocktails, and more. Reservations are strongly recommended made through Resy, while a few seats are set aside for walk-ins each night. This seasonal pop-up runs through the end of December.

Loreley Beer Garden’s Holiday Winter Wonderland is back on the Lower East Side, spreading cheer for the season until January 7th. Decked out with over the top holiday lights and décor both indoors and outdoors in the heated beer garden and streetside patio. The space features a full size Santa, light-up reindeer, two giant 6-foot snowmen, candy canes, gingerbread houses, snow globe display, and thousands of ornaments, bows and garland.

The Mark Restaurant by Jean-Georges has set up The Mark Chalet for the up coming holiday season, a Apres Ski-inspired dining experience outdoors. The menu includes The Chalet Fondue with gruyère & vacherin cheese, bündnerfleisch, sourdough bread, broccoli potato, apple, pear & pickled cauliflower.

Cozy Igloos have returned to Bryant Park next to the annual Christmas tree. Enjoy festive food and drinks in a private heated dome, just steps from the iconic ice-skating rink. Each Cozy Igloo session is 90 minutes and features a seasonal selection of food and drinks. One igloo can accommodate up to 8 guests.

Or, stop by The Lodge for a cocktail or cup of spiked hot chocolate and some s’mores. The Tree Lighting at Bryant Park will take place on Tuesday November 28 at 6pm with Broadway star Mauricio Martínez hosting along with a special guest. There will also be performances on the nearby ice rink by world-class skaters Mariah Bell, Karen Chen, Ryan Bradley, skating pair Alexa Knierim and Brandon Fraizer, and The Skyliners.

There’s nothing more special than a trip to Macy’s Herald Square to check out the holiday windows. This year Santa has returned to SantaLand for the Christmas season. Kids can take a seat next to Santa on his throne for a picture. Reservations are required with wait a wait of up to 90 minutes. It's best to pick a weekday for your visit.
On December 2 at Bloomingdale's 59th Street guests can purchase a ticket to attend breakfast with Santa. Tickets will also be available on December 9 at the 59th Street Flagship. Also on Saturday, December 2 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., Bloomingdale’s will be hosting a Holiday Bash with a fun and immersive shopping experience. Guest can enjoy a DJ spinning holiday hits, patches and/or monogramming at the Holiday Bear workshop, Birkenstock gold foil customizations, hot cocoa bar, Nespresso latte art, David Yurman candy bar, Little Brown Beverage Mug customizations, beauty and trunk shows and much more.
