This October, The Cauldron Co. is conjuring up Halloween magic in New York City with immersive potions experiences and themed events. The headliner is Stingy Jack’s Doom, a UV-reactive glow-in-the-dark potion inspired by the Irish legend of the Jack-O’-Lantern. Guests can also enjoy spooky cocktails like the Slimey Pear Margarita, with a UV-reactive rim, and the Haunted Butterscotch Sour, featuring spiced rum and a toasted marshmallow garnish. For a whimsical touch, Sookie’s Sangria and Pumpkin Espresso Martini round out the menu of magical drinks, ensuring an unforgettable Halloween experience

Joanne Trattoria, run by Lady Gaga’s father, Joe Germanotta, will host "Drag Me to Joanne's Monster Ball" on October 30th, where guests are encouraged to dress as their favorite Gaga. The restaurant will feature a special Halloween-themed drag show lineup, including artists like Jupiter Genesis and NXTHING, with spooky events throughout the week. Meanwhile, The Stand Comedy Club is hosting its "Frightfully Funny Night" on October 31st, featuring an open bar, a comedy show with the Terrifier 3 team, and a costume party. Somewhere Nowhere, NYC’s highest rooftop nightclub, will offer a series of Halloween and Día de Los Muertos parties, including performances by Sheck Wes and a special appearance by Bobby Shmurda on November 1st.

Starting October 1st, Grand Army Bar is bringing its signature seafood-centric vibes to Threes Brewing in Gowanus, Brooklyn, with an all-new food menu. Located at 333 Douglass Street, the beloved Boerum Hill cocktail bar is taking over the kitchen, offering a fun, clam-shack-meets-burger-joint menu crafted by Grand Army Chef Patrick McLaughlin. Highlights include shrimp cocktail with coconut sambal, loaded crab fries with pimento cheese, and a beer-battered cod with miso tartar sauce made with Threes’ beer. Special menus can be arranged for large groups and catering events by contacting Threes Brewing directly.

Veerays, the new Indian speakeasy in Midtown East, has just unveiled its exclusive Goodfellas’ Exotic Meat Tasting Menu, and it is a true culinary adventure. Led by Hemant Mathur, the first Indian chef in the U.S. to earn a Michelin star, this unique tasting menu features six delectable courses, including Ostrich Malai Kebab with plum chutney, Kangaroo Bukhani Tikka with pineapple chutney, Camel Seekh Kebab served with date chutney and olive garlic naan, Yak Kofta Curry accompanied by petit poori, and Alligator Biryani with cucumber raita. The experience is priced at $125.

Ballet Hispánico, the largest Latino cultural organization in the United States and one of America’s Cultural Treasures, announces the 2024 Celebración Latina Family Day on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 9am-4:30pm in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Family members of all ages are invited to join the celebration on Ballet Hispánico Way at 167 W. 89th Street, NYC, for free dance lessons, performances by School of Dance students, tours of the Ballet Hispánico headquarters, food trucks, craft activities, face-painting and other activities for kids, and more!
Join the South Street Seaport Museum for Sailors Scrimshaw, a family-friendly activity every weekend from October 5 to 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Explore the art of scrimshaw, traditionally done by sailors, by carving designs on recycled plastic instead of ivory. Families can create hand-made scrimshaw items at the museum’s 207 Water Street program space or aboard the tall ship Wavertree. Crayons and whale tooth printouts will also be available for younger children. This activity is free with Pay What You Wish General Admission, and participants can even scrimshaw a gourd for Halloween!
