Avra Estiatorio Opens Massive Restaurant in Midtown

Located in the shadow of Radio City Music Hall you will find Avra Rockefeller Center, a magnificent multi-story restaurant from The Avra Group. The space is light and airy with towering ceilings, an elegant marble bar with lush greenery, and ample outdoor seating when the weather permits.
Visitors will also discover a large seafood display featuring Mediterranean specialties like Barbounia, Lithrini and Fagri, along with tiger prawns the size of lobsters.
The menu is centered on Greek and Mediterranean dishes like charcoal grilled Gulf Shrimp, Carpaccio of Octopus, and specialties like Spanakopita, baked filo stuffed with spinach, feta and leeks, as well as assorted spreads. Freshly caught fish flown in daily from Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal, among others, are charcoal grilled simply with olive oil, lemon and sea salt. For meat lovers there are grilled lamb chops, organic free range chicken, a prime New York strip and filet mignon. Vegetarian options include a nice selection of salads, including of course, a Greek Salad.
Upstairs, visitors will find a garden room with curvy cream colored banquettes and greenery throughout. There are also private dining spaces with seating for up to two dozen guests, perfect for business functions.
A separate dining space on the lower level looks into an open kitchen. There's also a wine cellar holding some prestigious Greek wines among other offerings. Avra Estiatorio is a perfect spot for a night on the town, or before after a Broadway show.
