CHEF GUO, named after Chinese Master Chef Guo Wenjun, now has an outpost in New York City. Chef Guo is known for food that is prepared simply with high-quality ingredients that speak for themselves. Diners will experience a nineteen-course tasting menu that includes 15 savory courses, three tea courses, and dessert.
The first course - The Butterfly Falls in Love with the Flower – is arranged as an impressionist painting of butterflies flying over a garden. Made from dozens of natural ingredients, it is designed and eaten from the bottom up. Other offerings include Magic Elixir and Fruit of Longevity presented in an eggshell with a golden antique holder; Taiji Black Truffle, chicken and beef soup; and Fried Foie Gras Au Jus served in a modernist iron bird cage. A special wine pairing is also available.
CHEF GUO is located at 135 East 50th Street, New York, NY
