Chef Adam Leonti is back in the New York restaurant scene. Leonti showing off his new restaurant in an Instagram post with a hat monogrammed with the word, Alba. The restaurant, called Cucina Alba, is located in the shadow of the High Line in Chelsea in a building designed by Thomas Heatherwick. Heatherwick is best known for his creating The Vessel at Hudson Yards.
The inside of the restaurant is also awe inspiring with large ribbons of fabric on the ceiling resembling a circus big tent. There’s a large curved bar as well as counter seating that opens onto the kitchen, as well as a colorful mural resembling flowers on a rear wall.
The menu has yet to be posted on the official website, but the New York Times is reporting Leonti will be focusing on “vacation Italian,” dishes Americans enjoy while visiting Italy. The restaurant is slated to open on August 26th.
Cucina Alba is located at 515 West 18th St, New York, NY
