On Saturday, November 12th Chelsea Market is marking its 25th Anniversary with a “Carnival of Culinary Curiosities.” As part of the celebration, and in partnership with the Meatpacking District, 15th Street and parts of the interior of the market will be transformed into a carnival-inspired midway with a creative culinary twist from 10:30 am – 5:30 pm.
Highlights include Oreo sweets from L’Arte del Gelato and Fat Witch Bakery, as a nod to the Market being the former site of NABISCO and birthplace of the Oreo cookie. There will be themed menu items from Amy’s Bread, and Li-Lac Chocolates, as well as a complimentary glass of champagne for adult guests from ARTECHOUSE, and happy hour pricing of 50% off at the XR Bar until 5:30pm, along with discounts throughtout the market.
Other festivities include live music from Chelsea Music Hall featuring a performance from Rock and Roll Playhouse in the morning. Attendees can also compete in classic, carnival-style games for the chance to win 25th anniversary-themed merchandise and prizes.
