Chicken and the Egg Now Has a Speakeasy Attached in East Village

Visitors to Chicken and the Egg can now head to Sincerely, Ophelia, a new speakeasy linked to the restaurant at 221 2nd Avenue in the East Village. Chicken and the Egg is already popular for its fried chicken sandwiches like Pretty Boy with pickled red onions, cole slaw and pickles on a Martin’s potato roll, and G-Men with tomato ranch, American cheese, thick-cut bacon, fried egg on a Big Marty’s seeded roll. Diners will also find Disco Belle Fries with mozzarella cheese and country gravy, perfect for some late night munchies. The restaurant is open till midnight.
