Cocktail Time: Le Salon Brings One-Of-A-Kind Cocktails to TriBeCa

Le Salon Cocktail Bar and Lounge, a modern European cocktail bar led by the team behind Thyme Bar, is opening in TriBeCa. Head Bartender Erin Gabriella is spearheading the cocktail program alongside Chef de Cuisine Hakki Gökçe, who leads the restaurant’s culinary team.

“Le Salon” which means “the living room” in French is designed to be a space for New Yorkers to unwind and enjoy each others’ company and conversations. Cozy C-shaped booths add to the intimate vibe.

One-of-a-kind cocktails include Sparke with Tanduay Gold Rum, apple, ginger green tea soda; Second Act with Casadores Tequila Blanco, Oleo, Carolina Reaper, Racao and lime; and Syd & Mike with D’usse, peach, peat, marigold and egg white.

Barrel Aged Cocktails ($25) are also being served. Gabriella uses two-liter new American oak barrels to introduce notes of vanilla and cinnamon to the liquor of choice, including Baijiu, tequila, and gin. Aside from exploring new flavors, this cocktail program underscores TriBeCa's historical and cultural identity. Baijiu is on the forefront of the menu to pay homage to Chinatown; Off White is named to honor the fashion houses in New York City; and Syd & Mike is a nod to the TriBeCa film festival. There are also several types of martinis and zero-proof cocktails, along with an extensive wine list.

Visitors will also find a full menu ranging from casual bar bites to posh entrees. Chef Gökçe’s creations include Truffle Steak Tartare (French), Pulpo and Chorizo (Spanish), 48 Hrs Short Rib with Fried Polenta (French-Italian), Le Salon Grilled Branzino (Mediterranean), and Mushroom Medley (Japanese, vegan).

Aside from the cocktail bar, the space also hosts its sister concept Chanson Le Salon (flagship store of Patisserie Chanson) during the daytime from 8 am to 6 pm, Tuesday to Sunday. The Cocktail Bar & Lounge opens on September 8th.
