Comedy legend Joan Rivers will be honored with a star-studded tribute, Dead Funny - An All-Star Tribute to Joan Rivers, on Thursday, November 7th at the iconic Apollo Theater. This special event will mark the opening night of the 20th Annual New York Comedy Festival, and commemorate the 10th anniversary of Rivers' passing. The night will be packed with laughter as top comedians, including Michelle Buteau, Rachel Brosnahan, Nikki Glaser, Matteo Lane, and Randy Rainbow, take the stage to pay homage to Rivers’ trailblazing career and sharp wit. Produced by Melissa Rivers and Erich Bergen, the event will also benefit God’s Love We Deliver, a nonprofit that was near and dear to Joan's heart.

God’s Love We Deliver provides life-saving, medically tailored meals to New Yorkers living with severe illnesses, and Joan Rivers was a dedicated supporter for over 25 years, even serving on its Board of Directors. She helped raise significant funds, including $500,000 on Celebrity Apprentice, and spent every Thanksgiving delivering meals with her daughter Melissa and grandson Cooper. In recognition of her immense contributions, the bakery at the organization’s SoHo headquarters has been named in her honor. Melissa Rivers described the tribute event as a reflection of her mother’s humor and spirit, blending laughter, legacy, and compassion in a way Rivers would have loved.
