Donna Mckechnie to Join Wicked in March

Tony Award winner Donna McKechnie will join the cast of the Broadway blockbuster “Wicked,” at the Gershwin Theatre on Tuesday, March 5. She will play the role of Madame Morrible.

On the same date, Mary Kate Morrissey will assume the role of Elphaba, Alexandra Socha, most, will step into the role of Glinda, Natalie Ortega will take on the role of Nessarose, and Tony Award nominee Brad Oscar will become The Emerald City’s newest Wizard. They will join current cast members Jordan Litz as Fiyero, Jake Pedersen as Boq, and William Youmans as Doctor Dillamond.

McKechnie won the Tony for originating the role of Cassie in “A Chorus Line.” Her many other Broadway credits include “Promises Promises,” “State Fair” and “On the Town.” She has also performed at many New York City cabarets including 54 Below.
