Dumbo is set to transform into New York City’s holiday hotspot starting November 14, 2024. With twinkling lights and festive decorations, the neighborhood will host a variety of family-friendly activities, including an ice skating rink at Emily Warren Roebling Plaza, holiday market shopping, and stunning animated projections along the BQE and Manhattan Bridge.
From November 11 through December 31, gigantic animated holiday projections will light up Dumbo's landscape from 4 PM to 10 PM daily. Created in partnership with Augenblick Studios, these charming displays will feature playful scenes, including a snowball fight with fun characters and vehicles, along with holiday-themed animations showcasing iconic Dumbo locations. You can catch these projections at the Manhattan Bridge Anchorages and on the BQE.
The Roebling Rink opens November 25, offering skaters breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline. Nearby, the Brooklyn Flea market will return on weekends, featuring local vendors with unique gifts. Beginning December 7, visitors can explore artists’ studios and find one-of-a-kind treasures.
On December 11, the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting in the Dumbo Archway will kick off at 4 PM, with the tree lit at 5:30 PM. Attendees can enjoy live holiday music, visit Santa in a photo booth, and experience Dumbo’s quirky construction cone tree. The first 300 guests will receive $10 in Dumbo Dollars to spend at local shops, making it a perfect opportunity to get into the holiday spirit while supporting the neighborhood. There willl also be a Holiday Bar Crawl.
A mailbox for Santa, decorated by Creatively Wild Art Studio, will be available starting November 25, allowing children to drop off their wish lists. One lucky child will win $100 in Dumbo Dollars to spend in the area, making this holiday season even more magical.
