Looking for a spot to view the eclipse on April 8, try Pier 57 in NYC to experience this once-in-a-lifetime event. Pier 57’s free rooftop park is one of New York City’s largest public rooftop parks and is the perfect place to gather with friends and family and witness the spectacle of the spring.

The rooftop is open to the public and sprawls nearly two acres with panoramic views of Hudson River Park, the Lower Manhattan skyline, and New York Harbor. While enjoying the greenery and waterfront experience, guests can grab food and drinks from the Pier’s food hall, Market 57, such as a salumi board from Due Madri, craft beer from Harlem Hops, a plate of oysters from Mother Shuckers or a selection of Middle Eastern spreads from Sahadi’s. Focused on women- and BIPOC-owned food concepts, Market 57 serves as a platform for emerging chefs and food entrepreneurs who have been underrepresented in the culinary industry.

The park is accessible from the ground floor’s southern entrance, directly across from Little Island.
