On the heels of celebrating the restaurant’s 8th anniversary at its mainstay location on MacDougal Street, owner Emmett Burke is ready to shine a spotlight on his tavern-style, thin-crust pies at his new location on Grove Street. Cooked with an extra crispy bottom and sliced into sharable party ‘cut’ squares, Burke uses top-line ingredients brought in from Chicago or sourced locally for his pies, and is willing to stake his reputation that his "tavern" pies can compete against the New York slice. They include the signature ‘Hot Poppy’ with pepperoni, red onions, jalapeños and house-made paprika ranch, along with build-your-own or cheese pies.

The new menu also features favorites like spaghetti and meatballs, house-made focaccia with prosciutto and burrata, as well as Windy-City staples such as slow-cooked Baby Back Ribs with special sauce, pickles and a side. Burke is also introducing a Midwestern take on fish n’ chips with a Friday Fish Fry. Classic cocktails are also offered including the Grasshopper and Negroni Sbagliato punch. Diners will also find hand-picked “Old World” wines and “New Age” natural wines.
The rustic setting features refurbished furniture from the North Woods of Wisconsin and works from American artists Cy Twombly and Alexander Calder.
Emmetts on Grove is located at 39 Grove St, New York, NY
