Fito is a lovely new spot in the Inwood where you can share a glass of wine or cocktail while enjoying some bites inspired by South America and the world. Large windows bring in plenty of light, while a large wooden bar up front provides a great gathering spot.
Look for small plates such as Burrata with lightly roasted tomatoes and toasts; Yapingacho, a potato pancake stuffed with cheese and topped with a sunny side up egg; Pulpito with octopus, potatoes, paprika and lime; and Shrimp Ceviche with tomatoes, onions and cilantro. There are also Welfleet oysters and deviled eggs.
Visitors will also discover cheese and charcuterie boards, along with pizzettes for sharing, like the Macho topped with mozzarella, tomatoes, shallots and thyme. Dessert brings coconut flan.
From the bar comes drinks like The Emperor’s Last Wish with Korean soju, lime, red bell pepper juice and angostura bitters foam; and the Mofito with vermouth, lime, simple syrup and champagne. An assortment of wines and beers, including Cristal from Peru, are offered. Happy Hour runs from 5 to 7 pm.
Fito is located at 4736 Broadway, New York, NY
