West Bank Café, popular with the theater crowd, is struggling to stay afloat. The restaurant, located on 42nd Street near 10th Avenue, had been set to close permanently in August before a GoFundMe page was launched.
It was just four years ago that the community came together to help The West Bank Café and Laurie Beechman Theatre survive the pandemic. Now Broadway Producer Tom D’Angora is leading an effort to save the restaurant again with Michael D’Angora, Tim Guinee and Joe Iconis. The restaurant blames the lingering effects of the pandemic.
At the time of this writing, the GoFundMe page had already raised close to $70,000 with a goal of $850,000. For more information on how to help click here
