Going Italian at Pasticceria Monteleone in Carroll Gardens

Picture-perfect pastries shine through at Pasticceria Monteleone on Court Street in Brooklyn. Traditional Sicilian desserts are showcased at this bakery and café ranging from cannolis and eclairs to rum baba with cannoli cream and cream-filled “lobster tails.”

Cakes include Strawberry Shortcake, Red Velvet and Raspberry Mousse. Visitors will also discover a large assortment of cookies, from apricot almond and rainbow to pignoli cookies and several types of biscotti. Gelato is also served in flavors like stracciatella, pistachio and hazelnut. The hardest part about a visit to this family-run business is deciding what to buy!
