On Friday, October 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., GrowNYC’s Annual Cider Village returns to the Union Square Greenmarket to celebrate the fall season and New York’s rich apple-growing tradition. "A Taste of Upstate in the City" will gather eight of the state’s finest cider producers, offering New Yorkers a unique opportunity to taste a diverse selection of hard ciders crafted from locally grown apples.
The event, part of New York Cider Week, will feature live cider-pressing demonstrations and a showcase from the Hudson Valley Apple Project, with up to 55 rare apple varieties on display. The day’s festivities, held at New York City’s oldest and largest farmers market, invite visitors to enjoy a hands-on experience while supporting local agriculture. Participating cideries include Metal House Cider, Nine Pin, and Original Sin, among others.
