From the folks behind Motel Morris comes KID offering nostalgic yet modern twists on New York City classics. Located at 157 West 18th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues, KID is the brainchild of Brett Nidel, Sam Nidel and Tamara McCarthy, paying tribute to their favorite childhood restaurants.

Executive Chef and New York City native, Ian Coogan (formerly of Altro Paradiso, abc kitchen, and abc cocina), is teaming up with Max Blachman- Gentile (previously of Emily, Roberta's, and Tørst) to lead the kitchen.

KID’s menu showcases dishes inspired by the nearby Greenmarket, along with some twists on Italian favorites including a list of seasonally rotating New York-style pizzas. Options include Pepperoni and Wild Mushroom along with Anchovies & Broccoli Rabe, and Al Limone with ricotta.

Larger plates bring Whole Roasted Black Sea Bass, Chicken ala Diavola, and Bone-In Short Ribs. Playful desserts include a rotating list of seasonal Soft Serve and Black & White Cookies. The beverage menu features elevated yet nostalgic cocktails made with local spirits, as well as a comprehensive beer and wine list focusing on small producers.

The modern yet nostalgic space is inspired by old-school pizza joints and classic New York City diners with whimsical 80s and 90s motifs, including a retro arcade game, custom artwork from local artist Gemma Bailey, and a Wes Anderson-inspired private dining room with its own bar.

KID is open Tuesday through Saturday from 4:30pm to 10:30pm. Reservations are available via Resy. For more information, visit, www.kidpizzanyc.com and @kidpizzanyc.
