Just Opened - BBF, Family Meal and Yucusiama

A new Japanese spot called BBF by Chef Chikara Sona has opened on Ludlow Street on the LES just steps from Katz’s Deli. Look for things like Anago Fish & Chips made with sea eel, Crispy Shrimp Puff with sweet & chili Mayo, and Grilled Black Cod marinated with saikyo miso. From the land comes Dirty Finger Baby Back Ribs with special sauce, Hokkaido Style Skirt Steak and Grilled Ragnarok Chicken with gobo chips. There is also something called a “sushi bomb,” featuring 12 pieces of round-shaped sushi with decorative toppings. 177 Ludlow Street, New York, NY (646) 476-5088
Blue Hill in Greenwich Village is now Family Meal, a summer pop-up offering group dinners for 4-8 people. Blue Hill says the goal is to give people more time for spending with friends and family after a challenging year. Dishes include mostly vegetables, grains and some proteins that are meant to be shared. The price is $115 per person, excluding beverages, tax and tip.
