Leyenda Cocktail Collab to Benefit Reforestation in Brazil

On Wednesday, June 12 pan-Latin inspired cocktail bar Leyenda (221 Smith St, Brooklyn) and cachaça producer Novo Fogo are joining forces for a special happy hour event to benefit reforestation in Brazil.
From 6-9 PM, guests can enjoy cocktails with Novo Fogo from guest bartenders Erika Flowers of Compère Lapin and Christina Mercado of Hotel Viking, winners of the Novo Fogo x CHILLED Magazine national cocktail competition.
Cocktails include:
- Leyenda’s take on Brazil’s national cocktail the Caipirinha
-Love Potion No. 4 featuring Novo Fogo Passion Fruit Cachaça, Fino Sherry, acid adjusted orange juice, cinnamon syrup, coconut water, El Guapo Love Potion Bitters, and grapefruit peel expression.
- Sweet Grace featuring Novo Fogo Colibri Cachaça, Tempus Fugit Creme de Cacao, Tamarind Syrup, lime juice, egg white, Madagascar vanilla bean infused Angostura Bitters, Maldon salt, and fresh grated nutmeg.
This special cocktail menu includes five cocktails, and for every cocktail sold, $1 will go to The Un-Endangered Forest™, Novo Fogo’s project to save 50 species of rare trees in Brazil’s Atlantic Forest.
