Little Rascal Brings its Turkish Delights to Greenpoint

Brothers Halil and Öner Gündogdu are the forces behind Little Rascal, a Mediterranean restaurant in Nolita. Now, they are expanding to their current neighborhood in Greenpoint, Brooklyn where they are partnering with bartender Keith Larry, formerly of Employee’s Only.
Elevated cocktails include The Perfect Prescription, a blend of mezcal, Campari and house velvet falernum; Miss Adonis with ancho chili cream sherry, seven tails xo cognac, and szechuan peppercorn-infused sweet vermouth; and Constantine’s Cosmos with haku vodka, fresh lime, raspberry & lychee puree, and st. germaine.
Cocktails are paired with Mediterranean-inspired bites such as smoked Lamb Tacos with pickled onions and feta, Halloumi Croquettes with eggplant jam along with oysters, cheese and charcuterie. Larger plates include lamb chops with a spicy citrus labneh and a crispy duck breast with poached pear and celery root puree. For dessert, there's flaky pistachio and honey baklava that will satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth.
The welcoming space is adorned with exposed brick and light-hued fixtures meant to subtly evoke the Mediterranean. Each wall – carefully painted by Bushwick-based artisan William Sorvillo over a six month process – catches the soft light peeking through 18th century stained glass window panels.
Guests can people-watch from one of the booths set in picture windows that overlook Franklin Street, or pull up a stool at the long, curving brass bar. During the warm months, a charming back patio is festooned with comfy blue pillows and lush plant life, or enjoy al fresco beverages at the bar’s cozy curbside dining setup.
