Little Rebel Opens in the East Village

Little Rebel, which features a mug shot of David Bowie by the bar, is for the little bit of rebel in all of us. The sexy bi-level space on East 14th Street and Second Avenue is already drawing a nice crowd for its interesting bar bites and cocktails. Small bites include kimchi crostini, buffalo chicken spring rolls, everything bagel wings and short rib croquettes. Larger plates bring hanger steak & frites, pork belly with celery root puree and a vegan pot pie. There's also a "rebel" burger and a fried chicken sandwich with candy bacon. Cocktails come with names like James Dean, Electric Koolaid and Chasing Waterfalls.
