Michelle Morgan Opens Tiger Lily Kitchen
December 4, 2020, 6:37.27 pm ET
Tiger Lily Kitchen is now open in Gramercy. It's run by hospitality veteran Michelle Morgan, who worked as General Manager of Paris Café with stints prior at Beauty & Essex, Ulysses and Stanton Social where she worked in the front of the house.
At Tiger Lily Kitchen, Morgan is offering a menu of health-conscious Asian dishes and housemade beverages inspired by her childhood and vegetarian mother’s Hong Kong cooking. Growing up in NYC’s Chinatown eating in Chinese, Vietnamese, Malaysian and Thai restaurants, food had always been a strong draw. The menu at Tiger Lily is entirely gluten free and vegan friendly – though fish, seafood and poultry are also available and dishes are customizable.
Appetizers include Grilled Lemongrass Wings with sambal sauce; Grilled Japanese Eggplant with cucumbers, watermelon radish and vinaigrette; and Organic Tofu Bites with chili spiced garlic chips, sesame seeds, scallions, tamari.
Larger plates offer stir-fried Peanut Street Noodles in peanut-ginger sauce (topped with a choice of protein); Koji Marinated Salmon with wild rice; Shrimp Curry over wild rice; Seared Organic Tofu with quinoa; and Grilled Chicken over vermicelli glass noodles with assorted vegetables.
Diners can also build there own plate choosing a protein, carb, vegetables and sauce. Housemade beverages are also available, like Pineapple-Ginger with Mint, Shiso Limeade and Orange Ginger & Thai Basil made with freshly pressed juices.
