Located in the heart of the Lower East Side, 8282, is known for its modern Korean cuisine. Led by Chef Bong Le Jo (Perry Street, Dovetail, and Kissaki), and partner Jee Kim, who previously owned Pado, the restaurant also boasts a premium Soju and cocktail program.
New fall dishes include a Golden Beet and Kimchi Salad, Mushroom Party, a medley of grilled mushrooms (king, maitake, chestnut, Portobello) served with a parsnip purée, and thyme butter pepper; Crab Hobak Soup with butternut squash soup with red crab meat served with fried milk buns; Seared Scallops over barley mixed in black bean sauce & truffle paste; and the 8282 Hanger Steak with sweet potato fondant, and citrus braised carrots.
Cocktails bring Yuja Pear Tequila Perilla, a citrus splash of yuja & pear, tequila, lime, garnished with perilla & perilla oil; and Miss Persimmon with persimmon, chai tea syrup, rye whiskey, and bitters.
