Mollusca is marking its one year anniversary in the Meatpacking with a week of specials, including 50% off of its house specialty mussels with over 35 exotic sauces on Monday (4/17) through Wednesday (4/19). It is also hosting DJ dinner parties on Thursday (4/20) through Saturday (4/22), and wrapping up the festivities with a disco brunch on Sunday (4/23).
Owner Eric Agababayev envisioned providing NYC diners with a spirited and sophisticated seafood-forward experience for all to enjoy. With that vision in mind, Agababayev and his team began to build the space in March 2020. A short time later the pandemic hit, delaying their plans. But the team persevered, inspired by Frank Sinatra's song, "If I can make it there, I can make it anywhere." And now they are celebrating and giving back to their guests.
Upon entering the restaurant, diner will immediately experience that deep-sea feel, with lights casting shadows of waves and hand-blown glass globes reminiscent of jellyfish. Some of the luxurious menu options include caviar, oysters with 24-karat gold flakes, uni, an extensive raw bar, lobster rolls and lobster tagliatelle, along with cocktails, spritzes and champagne.
