Moondog, a new cocktail lounge and listening bar from siblings Einat and Elon Admony, has officially opened in East Williamsburg (119 Ingraham St), and it’s setting the scene for immersive soundscapes paired with inventive drinks and Mediterranean-Mexican street food. This first-time collaboration between Chef Einat Admony, a three-time James Beard nominee and owner of Balaboosta and Taïm, and her brother, Elon, a seasoned music producer and sound engineer, promises a destination that merges food, music, and atmosphere into one seamless experience.

In the kitchen, Einat crafts a Med-Mex menu featuring bites like Chicken Shawarma Tacos with amba aioli and pickles, Mushroom Al Pastor, and Baharat-spiced Lamb Molé. Other options include Argentinian Beef Empanadas, Yucca Fries with harissa aioli, and a loaded Esquites with cotija cheese and harissa mayo.

Behind the bar, Beverage Director Josef Griz serves up equally imaginative cocktails that riff on classics with a cross-cultural twist. Highlights include the Jaffa Old Fashioned, blending añejo tequila with date syrup, and the Figroni, a fig-infused take on the classic Negroni. For a lighter sip, the Malabi (rum, pistachio orgeat, pomegranate foam) offers a floral, refreshing finish.

Moondog’s interiors blend rustic touches with sleek, high-end audio equipment to create a space that feels both intimate and electric. The 800-square-foot bar, with a stunning white marble top and custom DJ booth, features state-of-the-art sound including Fyne Audio speakers and McIntosh amplifiers, immersing guests in everything from jazz to funk and house. A spacious outdoor patio and a cozy speakeasy—opening soon for private events and “deep listening” sessions—provide the perfect vibe for music lovers.
