Dinner Under the Stars Inside a Rooftop Igloo at Somewhere Nowhere

What’s more romantic than dinner under the stars - how about dining in a snow globe? Somewhere Nowhere, a lounge, nightclub, and rooftop pool offers panoramic views of New York’s skyline with a special prix fixe for Valentine’s Day. Private Teardrop Igloo includes a table for two with a three-course prix fixe menu, a bottle of champagne (Veuve Clicquot), and a complimentary gift from Venus Et Fleur to remember your special day with an eternity flower. BLACKBARN Restaurant offers its Pre-Fixe Aphrodisiac Menu

This Farm-to-Table, American restaurant located in NoMad from James Beard Award-Winning Chef John Doherty will offer a Valentine’s Day menu featuring special edition of its regular a la carte menu and optional four course pre-fixe loaded with aphrodisiacs ($95 pp). The pre-fixe includes a myriad of aphrodisiacs to set the mood starting with the option of a Tuna Carpaccio or Wild Mushroom Toast before the second course of either a Basica Cabbage Salad with a Fresno Chili Vinaigrette or Foie Gras Torchon. Main course is either a Filet Mignon Rossini or Butter Poached Maine Lobster Risotto. Finally, for dessert, diners can sweeten the mood with either a Chocolate Babka Bread Pudding or Toasted Almond Pavlova. Reservations via OpenTable

Sushi Suite 1001 in Midtown with its One-of-a-Kind Intimate Omakase

One of the most unique dining experiences in New York- treat your date to a 17-course omakase sushi dinner located inside an unmarked hotel suite in Hotel 3232 in NoMad. Sushi Suite 1001 offers what is likely the world's first hotel room turned restaurant experience with a simple four-seat sushi counter and chef Takeshi Sato for a 60-minute meal. The ultimate one-stop shop for Valentine’s Day ‘Bou’, Sushi by Bou in Chelsea is hidden behind Espresso Bar and Floral Boutique Bosqe where you can pick up your flowers on the way to the 9-seat omakase experience. Little Charli is the cozy new neighborhood spot serving up artisanal Roman-style pizzas from Neopolitan born Pizzaiolo Salvatore Olivella. The homey, Roman-style pizzas include family recipes and a simplistic menu done right, cooked with fresh ingredients and straight from the wood-burning oven with oak and cherry wood for a nice char, crispy crust and delectable flavor profile. For Valentine’s Day, couples or friends can learn how to cook Roman style pies La Pizza al Metro including rolling out the dough, choosing their own toppings while sipping wine and beer and noshing on apps before tasting your own creation. Eat your heart out, literally! The only Chicago-style pizzerias in New York— Emmett’s and Emmett’s on Grove are serving heart-shaped pies for Valentine’s Day! At their MacDougal street location, diners have the option to enjoy a deep dish heart shaped pizza or tavern-style, thin crust. Using only the finest ingredients available, both restaurants offer an approachable, relaxed atmosphere to enjoy your Valentine’s Day date with plenty of shared plates and an extensive wine list from across the globe including owner Emmett Burke’s personal collection with old and new world varieties from France, Italy and Napa Valley. At sister restaurant, Emmett’s on Grove will serve their tavern-style thin crust in heart shapes by request as the perfect date night for Galentine’s, first dates or pizza lovers. The neighborhood hotspots will have the regular a la carte menu available with the option for heart shaped pizzas for $30 (plus toppings).
