This Valentine’s Day, Tribeca’s Michelin-starred French restaurant with Japanese influence will offer a seven-course tasting menu in its cozy, chic dining room. Alongside a carefully curated wine list including non-alcoholic options, guests can enjoy seasonal fare for the special occasion including various seafood courses, roasted Spanish mackerel with smoked potato and caramelized onion and American wagyu beef tenderloin with foie gras and black truffle. This year, La Mercerie invites guests to celebrate Valentine’s Day dinner with La Fête des Amoureux. The prix-fixe menu, served up alongside Martinis au Chocolat and champagne, features oysters, tarte aux champignons, duck breast with chocolate and espelette, and fondue au chocolat. Throughout February, La Mercerie will celebrate the Mois d’Amour (month of love) with cuisine that celebrates the French romantic allure. Lindens at Arlo Soho

Lindens located within Arlo Soho will be setting the mood with their seasonal menu offerings with their Modern American menu. For a reasonable $85 per person, guests will have multiple dates to enjoy the multi course prix fixe that includes top signatures served with family-style options and mains, starting with warm Thyme Parker house Rolls, prepared on-site and served with acorn squash butter and Giardiniera for the table with pickled vegetables and hummus, followed by other plates to share, such as Grilled Kabocha Squash, Delicata & Artichoke Tempura and Oyster Sampler with East and West Coast Oysters prepared three ways as a little aphrodisiac. Choice of main includes Hanger Steak, a juicy Half Chicken with a 3 peppercorn rub or their popular Honeynut Squash Ravioli with pancetta, brown butter and 5-year aged banyuls vinegar. Dinner ends on a sweet note with chocolate covered strawberries with 6 different toppings. Wine and Cocktail Pairings are available as an add-on and to add to the experience. Chef Einat Admony is adding a variety of specials to her contemporary Israeli menu, available only on February 14th, starting with Zalabia (Middle eastern-style fried dough) and Yemenite Dips, including muhamara, elevated baba, and preserved lemon cashew. Additional entrees include the Heartbeet--golden beet, fluke, herbs, crispy shallot, and pistachio served with gooseberry arak sauce--and Ribeye for Two--coffee and rosemary-rubbed ribeye, tempura fried artichoke, and garlic aioli alongside a winter greens salad. On Friday, February 10th, Saturday February 11th, and Tuesday, February 14th, Chef Dale Talde is serving a modern Cantonese 3-course prix-fixe menu for $130 pp (including gratuity), with the option for a sommelier curated wine pairing (+$35 pp) at the King Mansion at Tarrytown House Estate. The specialty dinner menu includes starters of Dry-Aged Beef Potstickers, Spicy Hamachi Tartare, Caviar Noodles, and Roasted Mushroom. Diners have a choice of one entree: Black Pepper Beef, Branzino with Chili Garlic Black Bean and Chinese Broccoli, Crab Rice, Mapo Cauliflower, Filet of Beef (+25), Wok Charred Lobster (+25), or 1/2 Roast Crown of Duck. On Valentine's Day: Baar Baar will be offering a 3-course prix-fixe menu for $70pp (which includes surprise bites as well as sides) from Executive Chef Sujan Sarkar. An optional wine pairing will also be available for an additional $40pp, and there will be live music entertainment. Finally, Baar Baar will be creating two specialty cocktails for the occasion, each priced at $19.

Chef Andy Kitko has curated a special 3-course pre-fixe menu for $150 pp. Diners will have the choice of dishes including starters of Toro Tartare; Maryland Crab Cake; Whole Fish Sashimi; and more. Second course includes Faroe Island Salmon with cauliflower couscous, almonds, currants, crispy salsify; Alaskan Black Cod with sake glaze, bok choy, edamame, shiitake mushrooms, yuzu dashi; Braised Short Rib with coffee ancho chile sauce, celery, baby carrots, horseradish gemolata; Surf & Turf with filet mignon, Alaskan king crab, truffle-madeira jus; and more. On Valentine’s Day (5pm-11pm), the intimate Korean-French gem Soogil will serve a luxurious tasting menu inspired by Chef/owner Soogil Lim’s classic French culinary training and experience as Sous Chef at Restaurant Daniel, as well as his Korean background. The a six-course tasting menu ($175) will highlight luxurious ingredients like foie gras and black truffles, starting with an amuse bouche trio of Foie Gras Mousse; Tuna Tartar & Osetra Caviar, and Perigord Truffle & Egg Flan, followed by King Crab Salad with yuzu horseradish jelly and citrus dressing; Hokkaido Scallop & Honeynut Squash Soup with honeycrisp marmalade and Korean gochujang chili; Black Cod wrapped in Savoy cabbage with white kimchee and fish broth; and Beef Wellington tenderloin with mushroom duxelles and prosciutto in pastry, and 36-hour soy bordelaise sauce. Guests can add chef’s signatures: Uni Bowl with sea urchin, trout roe, and gamtae seaweed ($34), and Nurungji Foie Gras Hudson Valley Foie Gras with chestnut, brussels sprouts and marcona almonds ($38) for an even more decadent experience. Inspired by the co-owners husband and wife Chef Alex Guzman’s and Jenifar Chowdhury’s Latin American and South Asian heritages, the restaurant’s unique menu highlights flavors and ingredients from Puerto Rico, Ecuador and Bangladesh with dishes like Crispy Brussels Sprouts with chimichurri; Roasted Carrots with tamarind chutney and sesame; Shrimp Curry with turmeric rice; Carne Asada hangar steak, crispy tostones, arugula and an avocado vinaigrette (portobellos can be swapped for the meat); Roasted Duck breast with mango and lemon curtido relish; rosewater scented Tres Leches Panna Cotta with candied pistachios; and Salted Chocolate Tart with pomegranate and rose whipped cream. Clinton Hall will debut a special dessert for guests on Valentine’s Day! Isle of Us

This Valentine’s Day, recently-opened Upper East Side marketplace and café, Isle of Us has teamed up with Nekohama Matcha to release a limited edition Oishii Berry Truffle. The health-focused cafe will also be selling Valentine’s Day cookie kits, available for purchase in store.

Tsuta

The recently opened New York outpost of famed Tokyo ramen spot, DUMBO’s Tsuta will be open for lunch and dinner - perfect for a bowl of steaming ramen and avoiding the trappings of Valentine’s Day. Five ramens to choose from include the signature The Original Truffle Shoyu Soba (soy sauce broth) made with custom-brewed shoyu and finished with Kurobuta pork chashu and black truffle, and The Original Truffle Shio Soba (light salt broth) with dashi base of Okinawan sea salt, Mongolian rock salt, subtle touch of white truffle oil, and toppings like red onion, green olive sauce, spearmint, along with elevated versions of white leek, bamboo shoots, and pork chashu made with prized Spanish Iberico pork. Unique to the NYC location, a Vegetarian Miso Soba is also available, made with 2 vegetarian broths: one featuring 7 types of vegetables, the other mushrooms, as well as a blend of red and white miso.
