This October, Carmine's Chef Glenn Rolnick is teaming up with culinary influencer Janine Bruno (@homemadebybruno) to craft a special dish—Roasted Tomato Cavatelli—available at all Carmine’s locations for the entire month.

In a nod to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, 20% of proceeds from sales of the Roasted Tomato Cavatelli and all Carmine's Vodka Sauce will be donated to the Mama Mare Breast Cancer Foundation, with a fundraising goal of $10,000. Janine Bruno’s personal journey as a breast cancer survivor adds an inspiring layer to this initiative, making it a meaningful way to enjoy good food while supporting a worthy cause.

Also, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, TAO Group Hospitality and TAO Cares are marking their sixteenth consecutive year of supporting the cause with a nationwide initiative. Across TAO Group properties—including Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge, Silver Lining, and The Highlight Room—a special pink cocktail called the "Drink Pink," a twist on the classic pomegranate martini, will be featured to raise awareness.

In addition to the signature Drink Pink cocktail, several venues are adding pink-themed desserts to their menus. From October 1st to October 31st, 10% of proceeds from these special menu items will be donated to the American Cancer Society and Cancer Research UK, combining delicious treats with impactful support.

The footwear industry is hosting the second annual Shoes for a Cure charity shoe sale at NYC’s Chelsea Market from October 23rd to October 27th. The sale is open to the public and includes more than 8,000 pairs of donated shoes, from many major brands - and all the shoes will be sold at discounted prices - with the proceeds going to first-step breast cancer research.

Notably, Saks Fifth Avenue will play a key role in this effort, hosting a special kickoff event at Le Chalet at L’Avenue on October 22nd, bringing together supporters and key figures like Emily Rockefeller. The Shoes for a Cure initiative aims to transform the shoe industry’s donations into funding for critical breast cancer research, partnering with renowned researcher Dr. Lisa Newman to advance understanding of aggressive breast cancer forms like triple negative breast cancer.

As these organizations unite in their dedication, the message is clear: with every dish, drink, or shoe purchase, there is just one goal in mind, a world without breast cancer.
