Nami Nori now has a new location in Williamsburg. The popular Japanese restaurant specializing in open-style temaki from partners Taka Sakaeda, Jihan Lee and Lisa Limb is located just steps from McCarren Park. Aside from open-style temaki, sashimi, and crispy rice dishes are also being offered exclusively at the Brooklyn location.

Look for things like Cauliflower Dynamite (a vegetarian riff on their popular Spicy Crab Dynamite), and Phancy Philly with smoked salmon, caviar, cream cheese and chives. There are signature rolls such as X.O. Scallop with tobiko and lemon, Tuna Poke with crispy shallots, and Cucumber Black Sesame with shiso and plum. Top Neck Clams with fennel, daikon, and 'nami bay' aioli also make an appearance along with Wasabi Cucumber Tataki. Dessert brings mochi churros with lemon curd dipping sauce, and coffee jelly with coconut cream and mochi balls.

The Brooklyn location features two temaki counters, sake bar and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that give way to outdoor seating with a full view of the park. Local beers, sake and natural wines are also offered.

Sakaeda, Lee and Limb - who met while working under three-star Michelin sushi chef Masa Takayama - opened Nami Nori in the West Village in 2019. The restaurant quickly became known for its open-style temaki rolls. Now, the trio is excited to bring their temaki rolls to Brooklyn with an extended food and beverage menu.

Nami Nori is located at 236 North 12th St (Driggs Ave and Roebling St), Brooklyn, NY. (Opening Oct 7)
