New Forbidden Broadway Starts August 30

The latest installment of the long-running, award-winning “Forbidden Broadway” series, “FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: Merrily We Stole a Song,” begins previews on August 30 at THEATER555 (555 West 42nd Street).
Created, written and directed by Gerard Alessandrini, with choreography by Gerry McIntyre, the show will parody the latest deluge of Broadway offerings; offer send-ups of stars including Roger Bart, Patti LuPone, Eddie Redmayne, Daniel Radcliffe, Ariana DeBose and Jeremy Jordan; roast the 2024 Tony Awards, and showcase some of the most popular numbers from Alessandrini’s “Forbidden Sondheim.”
Featured in the cast are Danny Hayward, Nicole Vanessa Ortiz, Chris Collins-Pisano, Jenny Lee Stern and musical director/pianist Fred Barton.
