New Whitney Exhibition "Shifting Landscapes" Explores Changing Political and Ecological Issues

Opening on November 1st, the Whitney Museum of American Art unveils Shifting Landscapes, a new exhibition examining how artists interpret the evolving political, ecological, and social landscapes of the United States. Featuring 120 works by over 80 artists, including Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jane Dickson and Teresita Fernández, the exhibition explores themes like industrialization, borders, and environmental changes. This timely exhibition will be on view through January 2026, offering visitors a fresh look at how art captures and responds to a rapidly changing world.
