New York is about to get a taste of South Korea’s serene hot spring culture with the opening of Oncheon, the highly anticipated dining concept from Glow Seoul. Inspired by the healing tradition os onsen traditions of hot springs, Oncheon located at 312 5th Avenue in Koreatown is offering a holistic escape from the city’s fast pace.

At the core of Oncheon’s menu is hansik—a culinary philosophy rooted in tradition and seasonal Korean ingredients. Diners can savor slow-cooked shabu-shabu with broths like Spicy Curry or Porcini Mushroom and indulge in the exquisite Chanhap Meal Box, a layered presentation of dishes like Bossam Rolled Kimchi and Yuzu Lychee Jelly. For those craving à la carte delights, highlights include crispy Beef Belly Fritters and Bulgogi Gujeolpan.

Oncheon’s tranquil interior draws inspiration from hanok inns, blending pinewood finishes, moss accents, and flowing water to create an atmosphere of “따뜻한 휴식” (warm relaxation). The dining experience transcends food, immersing guests in the calm and healing essence of Korean hot springs.

With its debut, Oncheon promises to become a cultural and culinary haven in New York, where tradition meets modernity in every bite. Reservations are now open at oncheonnyc.com.
