70’s inspired Peach Keen (321 West 44th St) is the city's latest retro bar to open in Hell’s Kitchen. The space is about as bright as a tie-died shirt with blues, greens, pinks and oranges filling the space, along with a welcoming bar where the staff is young and just as vibrant.
The signature drink is A Clockwork Orange (above) is made with Espolon Tequila, Tangerine Liqueur, Blood Orange, and Lime. It is served with a blood orange slice on top and a spicy rim. It's quite refreshing. Other cocktails include the Rhinestone Cowgirl with Ketel One Botanical Cucumber & Mint Vodka, Cucumber, Lime, Agave, and Prosecco; and Disco Sally, a rum punch served in its own light-up disco ball with a straw that also changes color.
The menu features an assortment of bar bites, including Smoked Chicken Wings with a peach bourbon glaze, Truffled Mac & Cheese, PK Smash Burger, Pastrami Reuben, and Crab & Corn Beignets served with a smoked paprika remoulade. The peach theme carries through to dessert with a peach tart, funnel cake and custom soft serve ice cream.
Peachy Keen is a colorful flavor bomb dropped in NYC that is definitely worth exploring.
