Public Records, the dynamic cultural platform housed in Brooklyn’s historic ASPCA headquarters in Gowanus, Brooklyn has launched a new plant-forward menu at The Atrium, its on-site restaurant. The kitchen is led by Culinary Director Lou Oates, formerly Executive Chef at Los Angeles’ Little Pine, and Chef de Cuisine Sabrina Carreno, who has worked at popular spots such as Eleven Madison Park and Xilonen. The menu focuses on whole, vibrant ingredients and avoids imitation meats.

Highlights include the 24-Hour Cashew Labne paired with house-made pita, Hibachi-Grilled Tamarind Jewel Yams topped with salsa macha and pumpkin seed gremolata, and Mushroom Aguachile with with tomato, cucumber, avocado, clarified jalapeno and lime leaf served alongside a mint broth. The new dishes are designed to be shared, reflecting Public Records’ ethos centered around community and experience.

Public Records has also revamped its beverage program. Look for drinks NORMCORE, featuring vodka, house-made orange cordial, and spiced cranberry shrub, and the FIGS N SAGE, made with bourbon, fig jam, and East India sherry. Non-alcoholic offerings, dubbed "Zero Proof Conspiracies," feature the DAISY BUCHANAN with thyme-infused grappa and grapefruit shrub. For an extended cocktail experience, guests can head upstairs to the intimate cocktail bar and listening lounge.

The Atrium at Public Records (233 Butler St, Brooklyn) is open for lunch and dinner Wednesday through Saturday. Reservations can be made via Resy, and more information is available on their website at publicrecords.nyc or on Instagram @publicrecordsnyc.
