August 11, 2022, 8:10.59 pm ET
Chef Abishek Sharma, who operates Madam Ji, Swagat and Badshah, is branching out to Long Island City with Rang NYC. The restaurant is featuring small plates designed to be shared that are punched up with flavor.
They include Corn & Crispy Okra Chaat based off a recipe from the chef’s mother; Chili Chicken Bao Bun with spicy Szechuan sauce; and beer-battered Long Horn Pepper Pakora. From the tandoor oven come dishes like Mustard Chicken Tikka, Basil Kebabs with marinated chicken, and Sautéed Lamb Chops served with a coconut dip.
The centerpiece of the space is a white marble bar set atop vibrant turquoise glass mosaics where visitors are served signature cocktails like Rang-de-Basanti with Bacardi coconut rum, house-made blueberry syrup, lime cordial and garnished with fresh mint.
Rang NYC is located at 11- 03 44th Avenue Long Island City, NY
