Following their successful debut in New York City last month, Salt & Straw, the acclaimed ice cream brand known for its inventive flavors, has opened its second Manhattan location in the heart of the West Village at 540 Hudson Street. Co-founded by cousins Kim and Tyler Malek, Salt & Straw brings an award-winning, storytelling approach to ice cream downtown, continuing to showcase the artisans, farmers, and meaningful food moments that define the brand.

Located at the iconic corner of Hudson and Charles, the West Village scoop shop invites guests to indulge in unique flavors while learning about the ingredients and partners behind each scoop. Visitors can sample as many flavors as they like.

Salt & Straw’s first NYC shop was met with excitement, bolstered by a sold-out pop-up last summer and collaborations with top local chefs like Mary Attea (Musket Room) and Michael Anthony (Gramercy Tavern), along with beloved brands like Breads Bakery and PopUp Bagels.

Tyler Malek, head ice cream maker and Forbes 30 Under 30 alum, has curated a menu of 13 signature flavors, including fan favorites like Sea Salt Caramel Ribbons, Honey Lavender, and Arbequina Olive Oil. Two exclusive New York flavors—Chocolate Babka with Hazelnut Fudge (featuring Breads Bakery’s famous babka) and Pistachio & Ricotta Cannoli—pay homage to the city’s culinary heritage.

In addition to the classics, Salt & Straw offers rotating seasonal menus. This October, the Halloween Series brings spooky, limited-edition flavors like The Great Candycopia (a candy-filled salted butterscotch delight) and Don Bugito’s Creepy Crawly Critters (matcha ice cream with toffee-brittle mealworms and crunchy chocolate crickets).

The West Village shop is open from 11 AM to midnight. For more information, visit www.saltandstraw.com
