Café Paradiso is a merger of two cultures – Italian and American – served with love. Restaurateur Shelly Fireman conceived the idea based on his 35 years of living in Italy in Pietrosante, an artist community outside of Florence, and being raised in the Bronx.
For breakfast, visitors will find assorted pastries and muffins, along with egg sandwiches Italian style waffled with chocolate hazelnut spread and toasted hazelnuts.
For lunch and dinner there are house-made pizzas (margherita, meatball and Prosciutto du Parma, among others), pasta dishes like Lasagna Bolognese with three meat ragu, and Burrata Ravioli with Pomodoro sauce. There are salads and sandwiches, along with cutting boards of assorted meats and cheese served with focaccia. Dessert brings Italian favorites like tiramisu and biscotti.
Café Paradiso is located at 144 west 65th Street, New York, NY (212) 869-8800. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily from 8 am to 8 pm. For more information, visit https://www.cafeparadisonyc.com/
